Mr. Divine joined Porter Law Group as an associate attorney after working many years for counties in California and the State of California. His variety of experiences have given him the opportunity advise and litigate many different areas of law, including public works, real estate (commercial leases, licensing, easements and covenants), land use, Subdivision Map Act, utilities, joint powers authority entities, public procurement of good and services, the California Public Records Act, HIPAA, probate, conservatorship and juvenile dependency.
These experiences have allowed Mr. Divine to provide assistance to clients facing a wide variety of issues, including all aspects of public works, including bid protests, obtaining public records, stop notices, mechanics liens, employee claims, corporate governance and dispute resolution. Mr. Divine’s focus is always to advise his clients on different approaches to resolve issues, so that clients are informed and a part of the decision-making process.
In his free time, Mr. Divine spends as much time outdoors as possible, from backpacking the Tahoe Rim Trail, to kayaking and fishing in the lower American River, to back-country skiing and volunteering with the Sacramento Tree Foundation to plant trees in the community.
